The Global Corporate Challenge is a health and well-being event aimed at changing the behaviour and improving the health of employees around the world by getting them moving more on a daily basis.

In 2011 RiskMan International put together a team of  seven eager individuals who agreed to wear a pedometer every day for 16 weeks and record how many (or how few) steps we were taking every day.

The event was a great success and we managed to walk a total of 6,622 km (10,347,352 steps) in 16 weeks.  In a fantastic effort,  we came in around 3,500 out of 18,000 teams worldwide.

We will be taking up the challenge again in 2012 which commences on 24th May.

The proceeds of the activity go towards the Global Childrens Challenge, designed to get kids active all over the world and provides children with the opportunity to participate at no cost.  The GCC also supports The Foundation for Chronic Disease Prevention (FCDP) and The Footprint Initiative that assists orphaned and abandoned children in Uganda.
