Loddon Mallee Rural Health Alliance Implementation Nears Pilot Phase
Covering 22 Healthcare organisations throughout northwest Victoria
4 February 2009
The Loddon Mallee Rural Health Alliance covers approximately 25% of the land mass of Victoria, with a population of approximately 290,000.
The Loddon Mallee Rural Health Alliance (LMRHA) implementation is nearing the pilot phase, with 5 sites being utilised for this important stage of the RiskMan project. Those sites are:
- Bendigo Health Care Group
- Echuca Regional Health
- Kyneton Health
- Rochester and Elmore District Health Service
- Swan Hill District Health Service
Progress towards this stage has been efficient, given both the geographic spread of the Alliance, and the varying sizes of the organisations within it. The build up has been underpinned by the collaborative effort of the key stakeholders from each of the twenty-two participating organisations, the RiskMan team, and the Alliance.
From LMRHA:
"The need for an incident management tool to service all members of the alliance was identified in Q3 2008, and seen as a critical requirement for the future accreditation of its member organisations. LMRHA moved to implement Riskman as its Incident Management tool of choice, across all members in Q4 of 2008. Requirement and configuration work has taken place over the ensuing 3 month period, with five (5) members chosen to pilot the Incident module starting March ’09 and its full implementation targeted to commence in April 09. It is envisaged that the implementation of the remaining Risk and Feedback modules will be completed by the end of the 2008-09 financial year."
